At San Cristóbal Cancer Institute, we not only cater to the physical and emotional needs of the patient and his family, but we also provide spiritual support at all times. The purpose of our Pastoral Care is to bring to the sick, to those who provide their services and to the medical staff, the love, support and compassion of Christ.
Through our pastoral visits, we help patients (and their loved ones) to maintain faith, as we provide encouragement and a healthy complement to the medical treatment, thus accelerating recovery. Even though serious illness, we help patients maintain or restore their faith according to their individual needs, wants and fears, and we believe that just by being present, our resource becomes an important part of the healing process. It is our mission to make available the necessary resources to offer patients’ families spiritual support and the guidance they need.
